Why all women should train self defence

Recently I came across Melissa’s blog who is one of our members. The blog is about why she trains in our self defence program.

I have copied and pasted the blog below as well as the link to it. You can check out Melissa’s Facebook page Mumlife Fitness at this link .

The blog offers some real life insight into why some women train self defence and why I advocate more women should do it.

I am extremely proud that Bujutsu is Macarthur’s largest and most successful dojo. I am equally proud that about 45% of our members are female. When I started training karate in 1987 only about 5% max of a class would be female.

Bujutsu has more women from Camden, Spring Farm, Oran Park, Mount Annan and Campbelltown training with us than any other school. We also have a ladies only kick boxing and self defence program that you can check out at this link.

It is not easy to find a martial arts school where you can train in a safe family environment.

Please have a read of Melissa’s article.

Let’s talk self defence, I am a huge advocate for woman learning how to kick ass!! Everyone single person has their own reaction when it comes to fight or flight, but what if you were in a situationelves from bullies every day of the week.
