Kids Muay Thai Kickboxing — Stand Strong Against Bullying

Our very experienced instructors teach Muay Thai to young children with care and age-appropriate guidance in a structured and energetic class with focus on steady stance, neat footwork, controlled pad strikes and confidence building. Muay Thai is known as the art of eight limbs, children learning how to punch, elbow, kick and knee. These skills give children who train at Bujutsu the skills they need to defend themselves against bullies, should they ever find themselves in a situation they cannot walk away from. Our Muay Thai classes also build endurance, balance, fitness, physical toughness, and mental resilience. We train the kids to become the best version of themselves. Through our Bujutsu Bully Proof Program, kids learn how to handle bullies with confidence, using posture, words and calm actions to defuse situations.

In every class, children learn how to stand tall, speak clearly and keep a safe distance when they are in a challenging situation. Because drills are structured and repeatable, anxious kids find routine, and energetic kids discover self-control without losing their spark. Classes improve cardio fitness, strength, and coordination, helping kids grow healthier, more resilient, and ready for any challenge.

Parents observe improved sleep, enhanced coordination, and an increased readiness to undertake challenging tasks. More importantly, kids start to understand that real strength is shown through self-control when coaches value neat technique, respect for teammates and teamwork over speed or power. These lessons go beyond the mats and into school, play and home life. Bujutsu Martial Arts classes are always fun and full of energy. They make sure that learning feels like playing while building skills that last.

Benefits

Benefits of Kids Muay Thai Kickboxing

Body Awareness & Self Defence Skills

Children begin with stance, guard and basic footwork before striking and our pad drills introduce distance, angles and safe targets without contact. Their balance and confidence improve as they practice moving away, shielding, and calling for help when needed. These habits turn into reliable self-defence skills that are simple, useful, and easy to remember when you need them most.

Emotional Control & Resilience

Our structured Muay Thai classes provide kids with a safe outlet for energy and teach them calm breathing techniques between rounds. Did you miss a step? We start over and try again because that rhythm teaches kids how to be patient and recover. Over time, children learn to deal with frustration with fewer tears and get back up after mistakes. They learn to keep going even when things are hard.

Confidence to Say No

Consistent support and training over time help children feel more confident. Kids learn how to speak clearly, have a stronger posture, walk away with a goal, and stay calm when things get hard, and this gives them quiet confidence to say no to peer pressure or not be bullied. Because good Muay Thai teachers and the culture found at Bujutsu create strong self-confident children.

Discipline & Respect

Children line up, bow in, listen carefully and thank their partners. Pads are carried neatly, and equipment is packed with care as these routines build discipline without harshness. Respect soon becomes natural toward coaches, classmates, and themselves because at Bujutsu Martial Arts, effort is recognised, manners are praised and teamwork is treated as essential.

Child Safety First

Anti-Bullying and Child Safety Program

Bujutsu Martial Arts and Fitness Centre does have a formal anti bullying and child safety program that takes a holelistic approach to tackling the problem of bullying.
Our Karate for Toddlers, Kids Karate, Kids Muay Thai Kickboxing and Kids BJJ classes teach children the following:
What bullying is
The effects bullying has on people
It is okay to say no
To use the phrase stop I don't like it
To walk away
To tell a teacher
To tell your parents
To step in when they see a friend being bullied
We encourage parents to talk to their children about what bullying is and what to do if it happens to them
We encourage parents to be good role models
To stay calm and always be polite
Not to be afraid to defend yourself if you have no choice
To only ever use the minimal amount of force necessary to save yourself from harm
To recognise that just because someone is bullying you, you do not have the right to physically harm them
Not to fall victim to peer pressure and get involved in the bullying of others
And of course, how to control and restrain people who attack them
We also teach children simple things like making sure they know mum and dad's mobile phone number
Stranger Danger
What to do if they are being followed home from school
What to do if they are approached by a stranger
Fire Safety issues are also covered, such as what to do if your house is on fire, what to do if your clothes catch on fire
Our martial arts programs are based on my many years of experience as a police officer and martial artist. Our program covers so much more than just how to kick and punch.

You can see what a Kids Muay Thai
Muay Thai is a very good option for kids. As well as providing kids with striking skills, it helps to improve balance and co-ordination. Cardio fitness, increase self confidence and the ability to defend themselves against bullies are also substantial benefits that our Kids Muay Thai classes provide.

The ideal number of classes for a child each week is 2. However, if you are serious about your child becoming very good at martial arts, we recommend your child train 3 to 4 times a week.
Many people nowadays train martial arts only once a week. It is important to be aware that if you do decide to train only once per week, your learning, skill progression and rank progress will be slow.
