Muay Thai Kick Boxing

Bujutsu Muay Thai Kickboxing

Muay Thai (also known as Thai Boxing) is a fighting art that originated in Thailand (formerly Siam) 2000 years ago. Its origins date back to a Warrior Art called Krabi Krabong which incorporated not only empty hands but weapons skills as well. The conditioning of Muay Thai is the basis of the style in both physically and mentally. Also arguably called the “Toughest ring sport in the world” it is known for its powerful techniques of punching (boxing), elbows, knees and kicks. The Muay Thai practitioner must have superior speed and conditioning through hard training.

Bujutsu Martial Arts and Fitness Centre has a formal Grading System in Muay Thai. Students are first taught to defend the head, then defend the body, then defend the legs before actively working on attack. This minimises injury, and ensures students are learning all the correct basics and techniques from the beginning.
Bujutsu Martial Arts and Fitness Centre provides training for everyone, regardless of whether you are interested in self defence, fitness or ring fighting.
Muay Thai classes assist you to lose weight and get fit quickly, not to mention burn off stress.
After many years of training Muay Thai under various masters, both in Thailand and Australia, Sensei Mark decided to run his own Muay Thai program.
Traditionally, Muay Thai does not have a grading system. But over the last 2 decades, some Thai schools and most western schools now run their own Muay Thai syllabus and grading system. Bujutsu has also evolved to run a grading system that is endorsed within our organisation.

Bujutsu is proudly affiliated with Muay Thai Australia.

Benefits

Benefits of Muay Thai

Mental Discipline & Focus

Muay Thai trains more than muscles. The precision, breathing control, and awareness required demand deep concentration. Over time, kids and adults alike build patience, resilience, and a sharper mindset. It’s a way to relieve stress while strengthening discipline — teaching you to stay calm, focused, and present even under pressure.

Self-Confidence

Progress in Muay Thai is empowering. Every new skill you learn, each round completed and each goal achieved reinforces belief in yourself. Students learn discipline and self-worth through persistence, giving them real confidence that lasts beyond the mats. Parents notice it, too, as children become more confident and assured in school, with friends and in life.

Cardiovascular Fitness

Muay Thai is an incredible full-body workout. The constant movement, striking, and conditioning build endurance and heart health while burning calories and boosting energy. Students quickly notice improved stamina, strength, and agility. More than just fitness, it’s training that makes you feel alive, refreshed and ready to take on challenges.

Practical Self-Defence

Muay Thai equips you with practical, real-world skills. Striking techniques develop speed, timing, and control while building the ability to defend yourself under pressure. Training teaches calm reflexes and awareness — empowering you to protect yourself and your loved ones if ever needed. It’s confidence backed by practical skill.
