RyuKonKai Karate and Kobudo Shidoin Menkyo
In April 2017, IHA Kotaro Sensei – 10th Dan awarded me a RyuKonKai Karate and Kobudo Shidoin Menkyo.
Shidoin Menkyo is a license to teach and is also sometimes referred to as a leaders license or teachers license.
In the art of RyuKonKai a Shidoin Menkyo can be awarded to a member who holds the rank of Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) or higher.
Not everyone who achieves Sandan will receive this license. You must possess the necessary skills.
In short it means you are recognised as possessing the skill and knowledge required to teach students and are officially authorised to teach RyuKonKai.
Shidoin Menkyo is not something you apply for. Your teacher will let you know when you are ready.
I was honoured to have been awarded this certificate.
