IHA Kotaro Sensei Intangible Cultural Asset

A huge congratulations to the founder and Grand Master of RyuKonKai Karate and Kobudo Grand Master – IHA Kotaro Sensei 10th Dan.

Yesterday Sensei was formally presented with his certification from the Prefectural Board of Education (Okinawa).

Kotaro Sensei has been designated as intangible cultural property of Okinawa in relation to his karate and kobudo skill and knowledge.

There is no higher award available in the traditional karate world and we are so proud of him.

RyuKonKai Karate and Kobudo classes are taught at Bujutsu Martial Arts and Fitness Centre.

Our classes are taught the same way they are taught in Okinawa by Sensei Mark who is a licensed RyuKonKai teacher.

Twice a year our students are given the opportunity to travel to Okinawa with Sensei Mark and train with Grand Master.
