Okinawa Training Trip
We have just completed another training tour of Okinawa.
On this trip Sensei Mark and Jessica visited a lot of tourist attractions and did a lot of shopping.
They also did a lot of Ryu Kon Kai Kobudo and Karate, as well as Isshinryu Karate training. This trip is the most valuable trip Sensei Mark has had to Okinawa. He was shown a few things on this trip that he has never been shown before. Sensei Mark has been training karate a long time, but this time he picked up a few secrets that he has never seen or been shown anywhere else. These will be shared with our Black Belts when the time is right.
We are so fortunate to be associated with Grand Master Kotaro Iha, Master Mitsutada Iha and Grand Master Tsuyoshi Uechi and able to train with them.
For those that don’t know Sensei Mark is a recognised member of Ryu Kon Kai Kobudo and Karate Okinawa and Isshinryu Karate Okinawa, with his grades in Ryu Kon Kai and Isshinryu being recognised in the birthplace of Karate – Okinawa.
Sensei Mark and Senpei Jessica will be returning to Okinawa during Easter 2017 to attempt his 3rd Dan Ryu Kon Kai grading. If you would like to come along and train in Okinawa please let us know. We will begin planning next years trip in May.

After training we sometimes head to the Dojo Bar for a drink and a meal.

The Habu is a venomous snake found in Okinawa.
